Source: TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD
From Sonni,
Take the time to read this. This inmate hits the nail on the head. It is the negative things that always make it into the media. They say it is what people want to hear. That is wrong. What good does it do to minimize the good that is happening inside prison walls, and then when someone has proof of it it they shut it down.
The public is supposed to believe that inmates are stupid and can’t learn, and the black men have a gene inside them that makes them intent on being criminals? Some people believe it. That’s the bad thing. Yes, there will always be violent prisoners but there are many who want to get out, change their life and not go back. It seems that isn’t what the prisons want, though. Keep the profit coming in.
I hope people will choose to write to this man and tell him his message wasn’t lost. Share it with people you connect with in your own social media. And if you want to send him an email, registering at Jpay is really easy. This way you don’t have to put your return address on an envelop if that matters to you. If you do write a letter and there is no handwritten ( no stickers) return address it won’t be delivered. I’ve used jpay for years. You send an email for the same price as a stamp.
